The iconic term is used today to describe a whole plethora of cars, some of which no doubt have earned that status. But this MINI undoubtedly fully deserves the praise.

In 1959, a small team led by Sir Alec Issigonis launched the MINI. A small, economical car, with a front-wheel drive transverse engine, which helped maximize space to accommodate four people.
